Barry Shaw, non-executive chairman
Educated at Humphrey Davy Grammar School, Penzance, and Kings College, London (where he gained a BSc Hons Elect Engineering Science degree), Barry worked for 12 years as IT Director for GEC (South Africa) and then 8 years as Deputy Managing Director of Gencor Group Information Services Ltd.
After returning to the UK in 1987, Barry set up CAP-RS, a business continuity company, in a joint venture with Sema Group. Now part of Schlumberger Group, the company employs 200 people across 8 countries.
Barry is now retired and enjoys playing golf, cricket and sailing. He is married with two adult children.

 Hans Christian Iversen, Advisory Board Member
A partner with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Hans Christian specialises in UK Infocoms, and has worked with a number of telecom, media and technology companies across Europe, including start-ups.
He brings experience in managing small and medium-sized businesses to Assertis, and is also a non-executive director of Direct Connection, a business ISP with 35,000 members.

Andrew Sales, Advisory Board Member
Andrew is a qualified chartered accountant and partner of Allander Noble (an executive recruitment firm which specialises in director-level recruitment), as well as being a non-executive director on a number of companies and organisations including the British Federation of Master Builders.
As a member of Assertis' advisory board he has been invaluable to the company through providing advice and suggestions throughout its development.
