Every OnlineBizBuilder website package includes 3 POP3 email addresses that you can choose to match your domain name. You can either buy your domain name through our site or transfer one you already own to us.

Domain names

Every OnlineBizBuilder website must have a domain name for it so that your customers can find your website. You don’t need to restrict yourself to just one domain name – you could have two with similar names, or with.co.uk and .com suffixes, and both will automatically point towards your website.

It’s a good idea when searching for domain names to remember that:

• pretty much all of the shorter or more obvious domain names that end in .com and .co.uk are taken; but often they’re still available in .net, .org or some of the newer endings like .info and .biz



• you should choose a domain name that’s close to the phrases that you think your customers will search for, as this helps search engine ranking. For instance, if you think your customers will search for “stilton cheese”, then the domain name www.stiltoncheese.com would be ideal (but has gone) – but other ones like www.stiltoncheese.info were available as at 3rd May 2003, and are just as good from a search engine perspective

Email addresses

Every website package automatically includes 3 POP3 email addresses, that you can set up for one domain (if you have two domains then you may need to get extra email addresses if you want more).

Once you’ve decided what email addresses you want then you’ll be able to download instructions on how to configure Microsoft Outlook Express and Microsoft Outlook on your PC so as to retrieve your emails. It’s easy to do and takes just five minutes per address.
