With product variants you can sell size, colour or other variations of the same product online, without having to enter the same product details over and over again.

Product variants do not count towards your product limits – so you can have 100 variants (10 sizes and 10 colours) of one product, and this will count as just one product, leaving you with 49 more products if you have the ecommerce 50 option, for instance.

For instance, if you sell lingerie, your product display might look like this if you use product variants:

If you didn’t have product variants, then each bra size / colour combination would need to be entered separately.

Product variants is quite powerful too: you can enter a different stock code for each variant, and define variant combinations that are not available (e.g. cream bra in sizes 34A and 34B only)
