Station Parking and UK Car Share

Since leaving his recruitment consultancy job in the City of London, Paul Byrne has established Station Parking and UK Car Share.

Frustrated with the fact that it’s so difficult to get parking near railway stations, yet aware that there must be many companies and homeowners with space that they’d be willing to let out for a fee, Paul decided to create a website to bring the two together.

The website allows people to search for spaces and to safely contact owners of those spaces and negotiate a price between them. To advertise a space there’s just a small fee, and advertisers pay securely through WorldPay.

Although it covers just some of the lines out of Liverpool Street at the moment, Paul is so happy that he’s planning to extend the service to cover over 1,000 stations around London, and then to market it aggressively on all the lines.

Paul said: “I’d had the idea about Station Parking for some time, and just needed an internet design and development company to help me realise it. We’ve now finished the first stage and I hope to move on to covering more stations soon.”

Paul is also having Assertis create a car share site to help reduce road congestion.
